If man brings a woman to the US for marriage it must take place within 90 days and yes I would advise all the men out there to live with them for the 90 days before you say I do. I did not. 99% of these women only look to get out of a bad enviroment where they are at and looking for only a green card. Next I would advise all men to get the woman to sign a prenup. Protect yourself and learn the language of her country because you would not believe what is said behind your back. Lastly have a good divorce attorney. I did.

    Thank you for your comments. It is good for men who are in search for their Russian wife to have a piece of advice from a man who has passed through it. But to say that 99% of women are only after a green card would be wrong; yes, there are women who want better life (who doesn't?) and need a foreign man only to get out of Russia/ Ukraine. But still majority of the women are searching for a good husband, and we know the cases when women came back here to Ukraine because the men they were going to marry appeared to be different from what they expected.

  • This is a warning to all men out there, be very careful in marriage to a women from a different country. Mostly men in the US. I married a woman from Ukraine and I know what I say to be true. At first she will do everything in her power to get you to believe she is the best woman in the world, and after all you will pay for plane tickets and immigration you have spent your lifes savings all for nothing and if she has a kid you will have nothing but trouble. I gave up all and she lost nothing. Remember as the man you have all to lose. So to all men out there think very hard on what you are about to do. I wish I did.

    It sounds like you have had very negative experience with a Ukrainian woman, but life is not an easy thing, and any relations may crash; bringing home a women from a different country, with different life views, different way of thinking is a very serious step. Any of the men who are in their search for a wife from a different country should consider what you have said here, Stanly. Men do have what to lose, but so do women. You are wrong thinking that a woman doesn't lose anything when she moves to another country: she loses her habitual way of life, contact with her friends and relatives, she leaves her home, and what she gets in return she never knows. Perhaps, this change in life is for the best, but what if it is not? Moving to another country is a great shock for a woman; in a foreign country she has only one person to rely on - her husband, who is in many cases almost a stranger: they have exchange letters and phone calls, met several times in real life... but how much time do you need to know a person? Two, three years of regular meetings and communication, living together until you actually understand that this is a person with whom you will spend your life. Internet dating is different from the real life, it is easy to build virtual relations of love and care, but is is hard to bring this relations into the real life. Both partners should give much thinking to this, and try hard to make Internet relations work in real life.
