As you have listed ways for men to avoid scam artists, I suggest that all of the women on this site, before corresponding from men from the USA read a little about our culture. Culture Shock is very common after Russian speaking women come to the US. This is based on not understanding the culture, not because the US is a bad place. In fact, it embraces many cultures mixing together. So I suggest reading books like: Immigranty y Bezhentsy and Culture Shock! USA.Also, a great book is: Welcome to America: The Complete Guide for Immigrants, It is written in both English and Russian. Each facing page has Russian on one page and English on the other.I myself have read many books about Ukrainian and Russian culture, and have found it very helpful for me.I don't know about other countries, because I have only visited them, but I would assume that there is Culture Shock any time anybody immigrates, these days.
